The Background

Europe’s largest radio company, Global is home to the UK’s best-loved radio stations including Heart, Capital, LBC, Capital XTRA, Capital Dance, Classic FM, Smooth, Radio X and Gold.

The business was transforming and needed to up-skill its teams to understand digital marketing to enable them to sell the new digital offerings the business was taking to market.

We worked with Global to build a digital marketing training programme that would be delivered on-site at each of their 21 office locations in the UK. We put together a selection of workshops and masterclasses that would help the team members shift from a radio mindset to a digital mindset.

What we decided to do was to give them a holistic understanding of digital marketing and help them understand how to utilise the knowledge in their daily workflows either as Sales Reps or Account Managers

We also put together some training videos that could be uploaded onto the Learning management system within Global.

The result

Prior to the roll out, the regional teams lacked the confidence to speak with clients about our new digital services. The delivery of the digital training programme transformed our teams into digital experts in a relatively short period of time. The significant increase in sales revenue generated from the sales of those products is telling.
